Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
How do I get started?
Call or email Treehouse Pediatric Therapy at thpediatric@gmail.com or 706-981-9314 to discuss your concerns and determine if your child might benefit from an evaluation and/or therapy services.
What is your cancellation policy?
We care about your child and want to serve them on a consistent basis in order for them to achieve their goals as quickly as possible!
Non-emergency cancellations require 24 hours’ notice. Non emergencies include vacations, preplanned medical appointments, family events, parties, sports events, lack of babysitter, or anything that is not designated as ‘emergency.’ To accommodate children on our waitlist, if non-emergency cancellations account for 25% or more of schedule visits, your child may lose his or her weekly appointment in the therapist’s schedule.
Emergencies require notification as soon as possible. These are only accepted for illness, illness of a family member, or death in the family. Please do not come, or bring your child, to the office with a fever, strep, unidentified rash, diarrhea, vomiting or other highly contagious illness. You or your child must be fever free for 24 hours prior to session.
Do you accept insurance?
We do! Please call to determine if we are in-network with your insurance company.
If Out of Network, we can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement (benefits are usually different for out-of-network coverage or may not exist.)
Many insurance companies require that therapy providers receive a referral from your child’s doctor prior to services being rendered. We can assist you with requesting this referral if needed.
Do you require an evaluation to begin services?
In most cases, unless your child has had a recent evaluation (within the past several months), our therapists will complete a comprehensive assessment during the initial visit to determine if treatment is recommended. A combination of standardized evaluation measures, clinical observation, play-based assessment, and caregiver interview will be utilized to identify goals and establish a plan of care.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please complete all new patient paperwork prior to appointment. These forms may be brought with you to first appointment or may be emailed to thpediatric@gmail.com, along with a copy of your insurance card.
If your child has an IEP or IFSP, please also bring a copy, as these are often required to be submitted to insurance for authorization.
